Take the scenic route to Palm Springs…A few places to stop along the way to break up the drive (especially if you’re going alone).

Not for nothing, but the Wine Down Winery in Chino Hills is an excellent place for a quick tasting (within legal reason .  It’s a beautiful, very small winery, that allows you to see the entire operation in 15 minutes.  It’s a great place to pick up a case of wine for your party weekend as well.

There’s a great place to overindulge a bit, if you’re able to make a quick detour, called Dowling Fruit Orchard with an incredible selection of fresh and dried fruits that are not only a great, healthy snack (remember you’ll need your stamina), but priced well.  Fresh fruit makes a great quick snack if you find yourself stuck in the room for a few hours and just need a quick bite.
